Vermeil jewelry can be worn in water, but it can be damaged if exposed to moisture or chemicals for extended periods of time.
To extend the lifespan of your vermeil jewelry, it is recommended to remove it before engaging in activities that may expose it to water or moisture. Additionally, it's important to store vermeil jewelry in a dry and cool place, away from any sources of moisture, to help prevent any damage.
Yes. More champagne can be purchased if desired. Happy to work together to curate a selection of champagnes that fits with your guests tastes and requirements.
Most of our jewellery is handcrafted in 18ct gold vermeil. This is much higher quality than gold plated or gold filled.
In simplest terms, jewellery crafted in gold vermeil has a thicker layer of gold added to the base of sterling silver (the thickness of the gold must be a minimum of 2.5 microns to be classed as gold vermeil). We coat our pieces in a minimum of 3 microns, which garantees longer luster and no tarnishing.
The plating process is different as well - gold vermeil is plated with a process known as ‘electrolysis’, making the jewellery very durable.
Vermeil pieces are generally hallmarked with the 925 stamp.
It is recommended that a minimum of 8 guests are required for a champagne masterclass. We can accommodate up to 60.
Most of the time, you can lean your jewellery carefully with the soft, non-abrasive and lint-free cloth or chamois. This should bring back it's shine. If this isn't enough, then you can take the following steps for a deep clean;
Prepare a cleaning solution: Mix a small amount of mild dish soap with warm water in a bowl.
Soak the jewellery: Place the vermeil jewelry in the cleaning solution and let it soak for a few minutes.
Gently scrub the jewellery: Use a soft-bristled toothbrush or a soft cloth to gently scrub the jewellery. Be careful not to use anything abrasive that may scratch the vermeil surface.
Rinse the jewellery: Rinse the jewellery thoroughly with warm water to remove all soap residue.
Dry the jewellery: Use a soft cloth to dry the jewellery completely. Make sure it is completely dry before storing it.
It is important to note that vermeil jewelry should not be cleaned with harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as this can damage the gold layer. Additionally, avoid exposing vermeil jewelry to water for extended periods of time, as this can cause the gold layer to wear off.
